4 months agoI had high expectations for this restaurant, and unfortunately left a bit disappointed. Walking through the hotel to get there was absolutely stunning — the landscaping and atmosphere were probably the highlight of the entire experience. Even with a reservation, we still waited nearly 30 minutes for our table, which caused us to miss the sunset we had originally planned to watch. My first red flag was when the waiter said the best item on the menu was the “burger.” Overall, the food was just average and didn’t really live up to the setting or expectations.

5 months agoImagine going to a 5 star hotel's restaurant, where access is prepaid with a must-purchase voucher, and service and location appear top top. Then you order lamb meat with sauce on the side, but it's served with sauce on top. You send it back expecting to have it replaced, instead the "chef" just washes it and sends it back... 3 stars because location is superb and service was good.

5 months agowe only had lunch at al saraya resturant. menu is limited, food ok but surely not top, they made a couple of mistakes but apologised and gave free ice cream. they are way more expensive than any other 5 stars hotel in egyp but with the history of the hotel that was acceptable to pay but paying having average food then there is something wrong. staff well trained but can be more friendly. and also 10 euro for bottle in water is too much.

6 months agoCame here with wife for a lunch and also to look at hotel as a choice for when we come back to Aswan in the future. As an Accor platinum member I was quite surprised that brand loyalty means nothing here. There was the cooler outdoor area and another in the direct sun. It turns out the direct sun plus parasol was visitors only and the covered area hotel guests. We had to ask 3 different people before we could finally order food and drinks. Whereas covered area the waiting staff poured water we were not given that privilege and it was serve yourself. The spicey chicken wings came without any spicey sauce and when he tipped over the French fries on the serving tray he, the waiter just gave us the remaining fries. The burgers were nice and came with their own French fries which were tasteless and dull. Overall the food quality is mediocre, the service appealing and again Accor failing to recognise it supposed most valued guests. If that’s how food is served then it has also put us off staying here as well, unless standard improve, dramatically and you are not a guest best to give this a body swerve.
