a month agoI wouldn't recommend it as a must-see during your visit to Aswan. The most noteworthy aspect is that you can buy local products or souvenirs like spices, keychains, clothing, etc. But otherwise, it's a place where people mistreat animals like crocodiles and camels. I wouldn't go back.

2 months agoDuring our trip to Egypt, we stopped at the Nubian village. As you can see from the photos, it's a truly unique and colorful area. We found it to be an excellent place to purchase carpets: the prices were among the lowest we found during our entire trip. One of the activities offered was a visit to a typical local home, where families live with crocodiles kept in captivity instead of regular pets. Frankly, this made us sad: the obvious poverty and the plight of the animals left a bitter taste in our mouths. In conclusion, it's a trip we recommend if you have time and the cost isn't excessive.
